Symbols Necklace
Geometric shapes - triangles, circles, squares, stars—have been part of human religious symbolism for thousands of years long before they became part of scientific endeavors and construction projects by the Egyptians and Greeks. The simplest shapes are found in nature and are used by many different cultures around the world to represent a wide variety of meanings. Shape symbols range from common circles, squares and triangles to more obscure shapes such a unicursal hexagram.
Circles are among the oldest of geometric symbols, and commonly represent unity, wholeness, and infinity.Triangles represent female energy along with water and earth which are also feminine elements.
The Pendant for Symbols necklace is a Circle of beadwork with an inner attached Triangle to represent unity and feminism.Peyote stitch is used to construct both the Circle and the Triangle. The Circle part of the pendant is colorful and richly textured.Pearls are used along the edge of the Circle to add dimension and elegance. Smaller Circles which match the Pendant Circle are used to attach segments of Double Right Angle Weave together which make up the Necklace Strap. The closure for the Necklace is a handmade double button which fits thru loops at each end of the Necklace straps.
